Known for their bitter in-fighting, members of the San Francisco Board of Education have decided to bring in a consultant to teach them how to get along better. Board President Sodonia Wilson announced Friday that she and other board members will ask the Danforth Foundation of St. Louis to give them tips on how to work more effectively together. Bringing in a mediator was first suggested in 1985 in a management audit as a way to smooth over deep divisions on the board that eventually led to the firing of a superintendent.
