Patricia Sandback, a member of the dance faculty at San Diego State University and a well-known modern dancer/choreographer in town, is this year’s recipient of the Lawrence S. Epstein annual choreography award.
Sandback will receive the engraved award--along with a $250 check--on Thursday at 7 p.m., at Frenchy Marseilles Restaurant.
Sandback was singled out for this tribute because of her work in “Toward Stillness,” a solo about loss and acceptance.
