Atty. Gen. Edwin Meese III made his sixth appearance today before the grand jury investigating the Iran-Contra scandal. It is believed that Meese has been questioned extensively about the weekend investigation he conducted in November, 1986, that led to the announcement that profits from the Iran arms sale had been diverted to the Nicaraguan rebels.

Meese has testified 11 times before federal grand juries this year, including five appearances before a panel that is investigating his role in helping the scandal-plagued Wedtech Corp. get a lucrative Army contract.
