From our “This bill is ridiculous, I wouldn’t pay it if I were you” file: There has been a rash of robberies in Modesto, Calif., by an unidentified man wearing a Groucho Marx disguise. Someone wearing those props to resemble the late comedian has held up at least six convenience stores in Modesto and a video store in Ceres during the past couple of weeks, Modesto police said Monday. The latest robbery was Sunday night when the Groucho Marx bandit, armed with a revolver, held up a Quik Stop Market in Modesto’s La Loma area.
