Fallbrook
The governing board of the Fallbrook Sanitary District voted Tuesday to sue the Local Agency Formation Commission over the proposed incorporation plan for Fallbrook.
District General Manager Ben Price said the board hopes to have a court overrule the LAFCO decision to include a provision in the proposed incorporation plan whereby the new city would assume control of the sanitary district and the Fallbrook Public Utilities District within a year.
Price said the sanitary district board hopes to have the provision removed from the incorporation plan, but will not seek to delay the planned June 7 public vote. The sanitary district’s special counsel will go to court within two to three weeks, he added.
