Psychological thriller with “RoboCop’s” Peter Weller leading a team of underwater miners who happen upon a strange genetic aberration on a sunken ship. Real-life hoofers Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr. star in a drama about a man (Hines) who is torn by dual pasts: his history in dance and the years he spent in prison. His attempts to return to dancing are impeded by sinister forces that tempt him back to a life of crime. Executive producer Fran Saperstein. Producers Gary Adelson and Richard Vane. Described as sort of a “black Big Chill,” this comedic drama takes a closer look at the unique problems encountered by “buppies” (those are black yuppies).
