White House Searched for Bomb

WASHINGTON —
Secret Service police with dogs searched the White House today after an anonymous telephone call warned that a bomb was planted in the building. A Secret Service spokesman refused to give any more details but apparently no device was found. The threat came on the seventh anniversary of an assassination attempt on President Reagan by John Hinckley Jr.
