NBC has hired ESPN sports reporter Jim Gray as a producer-reporter. Gray, who will start his new job next week, will produce features on Olympic athletes around the world.
During the Olympic Games at Seoul, he will serve as the network’s Olympic Village reporter.
Gray, 28, of Marina del Rey, has been ESPN’s West Coast bureau chief since 1984. Before that, he was the associate producer of Bud Greenspan’s “16 Days of Glory,” the official film of the 1984 Summer Olympics.
