James Sabin has been named group vice president of Parker Bertea Aerospace, Irvine. He previously was vice president-general manager of Parker’s control systems division. In his new capacity, Sabin assumes responsibility for five operating divisions within Parker Bertea Aerospace. Succeeding Sabin as vice president-general manager is Claus Beneker, who joined Parker in 1969 as an engineer and has held positions as a manufacturing systems manager, program manager, director of staff engineering and vice president of operations. In addition, Avi Mordkowitz has been named to the new position of division vice president-engineering for the control systems division. Before joining the aerospace group as a director of engineering, he spent nine years at HR Textron and four years at Israeli Aircraft Industries. Also, Frank Briney was named vice president-marketing of the control systems division. Briney joined the company in 1986 as a program marketing manager responsible for special flight-control applications. Parker Bertea Aerospace, an operating sector of Parker Hannifin Corp., designs, manufactures and services fluid systems and components for aerospace and other high-technology markets.
