St. Joseph Hospital in Orange next January will follow in the footsteps of United Western Medical Center of Santa Ana and Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach by opening a satellite medical facility to serve the lucrative Irvine market.
Donald Hicks, St. Joseph’s vice president of marketing development, said the hospital has agreed to lease 13,000 square feet in a building to be constructed at 4050 Barranca Parkway in the Irvine community of Woodbridge. He said the hospital will run diagnostic radiology and clinical laboratories and a pharmacy in 10,000 square feet of the space. He said the hospital will rent the remaining area to physician specialists belonging to the St. Joseph Hospital medical staff under a time-share arrangement.
