He may need glasses real soon, but for today, at least, David Woods is a famous person. The Sydney, Australia, native claimed a world record Tuesday for continuous TV watching after spending 168 hours gazing at the small screen. Woods, a carpenter, said a masseur and an electric nerve stimulator helped him keep alert during the marathon stint. His quest was filmed by an Australian television show that concentrates on weird and offbeat achievements. Woods’ considered opinion? Television programs (at least Australian ones) “really aren’t that bad.”
