Dubcek to Visit Italy on 1st Trip in 18 Yrs.

PRAGUE, Czechoslovakia —
Deposed Communist Party chief Alexander Dubcek, who led the “Prague Spring” reform movement of 1968, is to travel abroad for the first time in 18 years to visit Italy, a government spokesman said today. He said Dubcek was issued a visa to go to Italy, where the University of Bologna is to award him an honorary degree in political science on Nov. 12 for “his role in defending democratic principles.”
