Two men are being held in County Jail downtown in connection with the Wednesday-morning slaying of a man outside a North Park topless bar.
Jose Colon, 27, and Joseph A. Klun, 30, were arrested after witnesses at the Nite-Life Uptown Bar in the 4300 block of Ohio Street followed the men until officers arrived, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Jose Garcia, 32, of the 1000 block of Dearborn Drive, was leaving the bar shortly before 2 a.m. when he was shot in the head from across the street, Robinson said.
The two were arrested at 30th Street and Howard Avenue, Robinson said.
He said they had been ejected from the club earlier in the evening. Garcia died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital.
