Whether 12-year-old college graduate Adragon De Mello will live with his mother or his father will be decided in a Santa Cruz courtroom, a lawyer in the case said. The closed-court ruling by Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge Thomas Black followed the withdrawal by the youngster’s father of an assumed agreement that allowed, among other points, certain visitation rights by both parents, with Adragon continuing as a ward of the court. Agustin Eastwood De Mello, 58, the father, withdrew his earlier agreement after the judge allowed Adragon, while still a ward of the court, to live with his mother, Cathy Gunn, said Patricia Vorreiter, Gunn’s attorney. Vorreiter said De Mello’s withdrawal of his earlier agreement meant he wanted “a flat-out court fight for custody.
