Local News in Brief : Huntington Beach : Robber Pulls Knife in Pet Store, Takes $400
Police are searching for an armed robber who held up a pet supply store Sunday morning and escaped with about $400.
Lt. Bill Mamelli said the robbery occurred at the Petco store, 15041 Golden West St., about 11:25 a.m. He said a man walked into the store, approached a clerk and pulled a knife on him while demanding money.
The man then seized the $400 and ran from the store. He was last seen driving a compact pickup truck east on Bolsa Avenue, Mamelli said.
The suspect was described as being in his middle 20s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a thin build and long, dark hair.
