CATS: The ballot measure that outlaws the killing of mountain lions (B1) has at least one critic. . . . Donald Small, whose 5-year-old daughter, Laura, was attacked by a lion at Caspers Wilderness Park three years ago, says that without occasional hunting, “I think we’re going to have more problems down here with mountain lions” as a result of the initiative. Laura, who lives in El Toro, is frightened by big dogs but loves cats--the domestic variety--especially Star, her pet for two years. “She’s amazingly well adjusted,” her father said.
