Winternationals Qualifying Postponed Because of Wind
Associated Press
Crosswinds gusting up to 35 m.p.h. forced postponement of Thursday’s qualifying runs for the 30th annual NHRA Winternationals at the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona.
It marked the first time in the 30-year history of the Winternationals that a session was postponed because of wind.
Qualifying will be held today in the $799,100 Winston Drag Racing Series event, the opening race on the 19-race NHRA tour.
