Without Shots, Libya Forfeits in Davis Cup

LOME, Togo —
Togo advanced to the second round of Davis Cup competition Friday when Libya’s team failed to show for the three-day African Zone competition.
Libya kept its team at home “because its players didn’t have updated vaccination papers,” the Togolese Tennis Federation said.
The federation did not specify which vaccinations the Libyans were missing. Libya notified Togo by telegram on Wednesday that its team would not play, the federation said.
Togo will meet Senegal in the next round of competition.
