NATION : Warner, Exon Seek 3rd Terms
Sens. John W. Warner (R-Va.) and J. James Exon (D-Neb.) today announced they will seek reelection to third terms.
Warner told a news conference in Washington that he believes “seniority in Congress means an ever more experienced, ever stronger voice for Virginia.” He said he has raised about $750,000 for his reelection effort.
Exon said in Lincoln, Neb., that he is proud of the key role he has played in the “peace through strength” effort, which has brought down communist domination in Europe. He scheduled eight stops around Nebraska today to announce his reelection bid.
