The 21 yacht clubs scheduled to host the Southern California Yachting Assn. Midwinter Regatta were reduced to 19 Friday when two clubs postponed their races due to the oil spill off Huntington Beach.

Balboa Yacht Club and Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club, both in Newport Beach, announced postponements for a week after the Orange County Harbor Department closed off Newport Harbor with booms to prevent the possibility of the spreading oil from entering the harbor.
