Pic ‘N’ Save Sets Meeting: Pic ‘N’ Save Corp., a Dominguez-based close-out retailer that may be the target of a takeover attempt, has scheduled its annual meeting for June 20 in Los Angeles. At the meeting, the company is expected to face a proxy challenge by an investment group led by financier David Batchelder of La Jolla. Batchelder’s group has disclosed that it acquired 6.6% of Pic ‘N’ Save’s stock and that it will propose a new board that would try to sell the company.
