Upjohn Co. Reports 21% Earnings Increase

Upjohn Co. said today that its second-quarter earnings jumped 21% from last year, while sales for the period rose 11%.

The pharmaceutical giant said it earned $114.1 million, or 62 cents a share, from continuing operations in the second quarter vs. $94.6 million, or 51 cents a share, in the same quarter in 1989.
