P.M. BRIEFING : Reynolds’ Earnings Drop 32%

RICHMOND, Va. —
Reynolds Metals Co. today reported a 32% drop in its second-quarter earnings as revenue sank 8%.
The Richmond-based manufacturer said it earned $103 million, or $1.75 a share, in the three months ended June 30, down from $150.7 million, or $2.55 a share, a year earlier.
