Data General Corp.: The Westboro, Mass., computer maker reported a $21.4-million loss in its third quarter, compared to a $23.1-million loss in the year-ago period. Revenue fell 1% to $302.4 million. The company attributed the loss to “sluggish demand for proprietary computer systems and competitive pricing pressure throughout the industry.”
