‘LOVE STREAMS’
This 1984 John Cassavetes film--sadly his last--is emotional, irritating, sad, hilarious, forceful and horrifying. And it is exquisitly played by Cassavetes and his wife, Gena Rowlands (both pictured above), as a brother and sister who are each other’s only safe harbors. “Love Streams” strikes notes, not all of them pleasant, that give back the pure ring of emotional truth. (KTLA Tuesday at 8 p.m., Friday at 2 a.m.)
