Bridgford Foods Posts 8% Gain in Net for 3rd Quarter

Bridgford Foods Corp., the Anaheim-based producer of convenience food products, posted an 8% gain in net income for the third fiscal quarter, to $1 million from $934,345 for the corresponding period last year. Sales for the quarter ended Aug. 3 increased 19%, to $20.5 million from $17.3 million.

Net income for the first three quarters rose 17%, to $2.8 million from $2.4 million for the same period a year ago. Sales were up 18%, to $61.6 million from $52.1 million.
