Chrysler, Ford Issue Emissions Recalls: Chrysler Corp. and Ford Motor Co. issued emissions-related recalls affecting about 208,800 cars and trucks. Chrysler said it will install new fuel injectors in 106,000 1987 cars and station wagons equipped with 2.5-liter engines to reduce excessive carbon monoxide emissions. The affected cars include Plymouth Caravelle and Reliant; Dodge Aries, Daytona, 600 and Lancer; Chrysler New Yorker, LeBaron, LeBaron GTS and Town and Country Wagon. Ford said it was recalling about 102,800 1988- and 1989-model F-series trucks with 7.5-liter engines. Inspection and repairs in both recalls will be performed free of charge.
