SIMI VALLEY : League Schedules Candidates’ Forum
The Simi Valley chapter of the League of Women Voters of Ventura County is sponsoring a question and answer forum Friday for candidates running for the 21st Congressional District seat and 4th District county supervisor.
The forum will begin at 7 p.m. in the Simi Valley City Council chambers, said Grace Bernstein, director of the local chapter of the Women’s League. City Hall is at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road.
Each candidate will be given two minutes to make an opening statement before taking questions from the audience, Bernstein said.
Democrat Richard Freiman of Agoura, who is challenging Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) for his congressional seat, will participate in the first part of the forum. Bernstein said the League does not expect Gallegly to attend but hopes that he will send a representative.
