Signing Up for Peace
On Jan. 15, I attended a peaceful demonstration, which was put on by Ventura County Coalition for Peace in the Persian Gulf. I was pictured in the next day’s Los Angeles Times as signing a poster which bore the names of servicemen who have died in the Mideast. What was not stated is that poster was also for service men and women who are now serving in the Mideast.
I was signing on the area of the poster for those now serving. I was putting my son’s name on there. I am very proud of him and I support him and all the other men and women serving in the armed forces in the Mideast and elsewhere to the fullest degree. I would just like for all of them to be able to come home and this to be settled with diplomacy, not more bloodshed.
