Consolidated Energy Systems Inc., a Westlake Village provider of electrical and thermal power, said that Rich Abruscato resigned Feb. 4 as president, chief executive and chairman of the company. Curtis D. Neumann was appointed acting president, chief executive and chairman. Neumann was formerly a senior vice president of the company. Abruscato will remain a director of Consolidated Energy. According to Neumann, Abruscato “thought a new face and fresh blood might do better.”

Consolidated Energy reported that it lost $224,899 on sales of $227,716 in the third quarter ended March 31, 1990. A year earlier, Consolidated lost $166,083 on $4,962 in revenue. The company has not yet submitted profit and revenue figures to the Securities and Exchange Commission for its fiscal year, which ended June 30, 1990.

The corporation also said that Wendell Sell, a director, resigned Jan. 31 because of a “long-term illness.”

Consolidated Energy also said it has entered a non-binding preliminary agreement to merge with a services corporation based in the Los Angeles area. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
