Alemany 95, Laguna Hills 88--Alemany made 13 three-pointers and held off a fourth-quarter rally by Laguna Hills.

Paul La Mott, a 6-5 senior, scored a game-high 32 points and had 12 rebounds for Laguna Hills (13-11).

Alemany (10-16), an at-large entry from the Mission League, led the entire game. Louis Hamel hit a three-pointer 20 seconds into the game and the Indians were on their way.

Trailing 81-71 with 4:31 left, the Hawks mounted a comeback. Laguna Hills cut the gap to 86-84 on a lay-in by La Mott with 2:33 to go.

After Rich Dice converted two free throws for Alemany, Doug Schellenberg scored inside to cut the deficit to 88-86 with 1:13 to go. But Will Burr, who led Alemany with 28 points, hit four consecutive free throws to seal the victory.

Dice scored 21 points and hauled in 17 rebounds for Alemany. Doug Tait added 18 points, all on three-pointers, and Hamel had 16, including three three-pointers. The Indians were 13 for 27 from the three-point line.

Brian Matsen scored 22 points for Laguna Hills.

Foothill 60, Palos Verdes 45--Nick Konopisos had 24 points and 13 rebounds and Mike Busalacchi had 16 points for host Foothill (14-11). Palos Verdes (7-17) used a delay game and stayed within two points, 23-21, at halftime, but Foothill outscored the Sea Kings, 37-24, in the second half.

Western 59, Santa Fe 35--Western (21-3) pulled steadily away at home. Chris Jackson scored 15 points and Tom Barraza had 12 for Western.

Troy 64, El Dorado 47--Randy Abbott scored 23 points and Chris Inman 15 to lead host Troy (9-14).
