Center Seeking Volunteers for AIDS Program
Kaiser Permanente Medical Center is seeking volunteers to offer emotional support and companionship to AIDS patients in the Harbor City and Long Beach areas.
The volunteers, who must be able to give at least two hours per week, will be assigned to assist patients at hospitals and outpatient clinics close to their homes.
Training will be provided by the Long Beach AIDS Network and the Comprehensive AIDS Resource Education, or CARE, program. Kaiser Permanente pays all fees for training and supplies.
Volunteers wanting to sign up for the training session that starts April 12 may contact Cynthia Soll at (213) 517-2930 by April 5.
