OXNARD : Man Shot at Party Undergoes Surgery
An 18-year-old Oxnard man was in good condition at a Ventura hospital Sunday after abdominal surgery for a gunshot wound, a hospital nursing supervisor said.
Alfred A. Delacerda was recovering at Ventura County Medical Center after he was shot in the stomach during a party that turned violent, authorities said.
Oxnard Police Sgt. Frank Porter said Delacerda and several friends were at a party in the 2200 block of San Marino Street at 10 p.m. Friday when a fight broke out. Delacerda and his friends were leaving the party, Porter said, “when he heard several gunshots and realized he’d been shot.”
Police were looking for a suspect.
