Sierra Madre : Trash Haulers Cut Rate Bid

Share

The city’s trash haulers say they’re sorry they asked for an 88-cents-a-month rate hike, and say they now only need an 82-cent increase.

“We were a bit high in our calculations and we apologize,” William Goedike, vice president of administration for Western Waste Industries, told the City Council on Tuesday.

On the average, Sierra Madre households would pay $11.07 a month if the council approves the increase on July 9.
