Treasury Bill Interest Rates Fall: Interest rates on 52-week Treasury bills fell at auction to the lowest level since May. The average discount rate was 5.88%, down from 6% at the last auction June 27. It was the lowest rate since 52-week bills averaged 5.73% May 30. The bills will carry an equivalent coupon interest rate of 6.26%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,405.50. Sales totaled $12.6 billion out of bids of $35.8 billion.
