THOUSAND OAKS : Amcal Project Work to Begin in October

Amcal Inc., a developer that received permission from the Thousand Oaks City Council to build a 91-unit moderate-income housing project, will begin grading work in mid-October, a company official said Thursday.

Construction is not expected to be completed until next June, said Arjun Nagarkatti, Amcal’s project manager.

When finished, the townhouses will cost between $141,950 for two bedrooms and two baths to $171,000 for a three-bedroom, two-bath residence.

The 4.2-acre property where the project will be built is north of the Ventura Freeway, between Sunset Drive and Los Robles Road.
