Fall Classic Is Worth Series of Complaints
I think the best part of the 1991 national league playoffs was the performance of Barry (How do I look on the Center Field TV) Bonds.
For the second year in a row, he gets the annual Darryl Strawberry Award given to the Most Overpaid Player who consistently doesn’t get the hit when his team needs it most.
Bonds spent more time show boating while making routine catches and more time sneaking peeks at the himself on the big screen then he did in the batters box or on base.
If he wins it again next year, he surely will be a candidate for the Rickey (I am the Best There Ever was) Henderson Award.
Then, if all three were traded to San Diego, the players would get the fans they deserve and vice-versa.
