ROYAL OAK, Mich. —
Hundreds of uniformed postal workers joined in a memorial service Thursday with police, neighbors and the families of four people who were killed last week in a shooting rampage by a fired letter carrier.
The memorial service at the Shrine of the Little Flower church was held one week to the day after Thomas McIlvane, 31, returned to the Royal Oak post office where he had worked and killed three people before shooting himself in the head. He died several hours later, as did one of the five people he wounded.
