Norway’s Finn Christian Jagge edged Italy’s Alberto Tomba in the men’s slalom Tuesday for his first World Cup skiing victory.

Jagge beat Tomba by .09 seconds before 20,000 at Madonna di Campiglio, Italy.

“It’s my greatest joy, winning a Cup race and beating Tomba on his home track,” Jagge said. “I learned to ski before I walked, and today I possibly learned how to win the World Cup.”
