Connecticut Tentatively OKs Aid to Remington: Connecticut tentatively approved $15 million in financial aid for Remington Products Inc., whose owner, Victor Kiam, is weighing the sale of the company, based in Bridgeport, Conn. Kiam is also majority owner of the New England Patriots football team, but needs to get his hands on $38 million to buy out a minority owner or lose control of the team. The financing is drawn from a new $100-million Connecticut Works Fund, which was created to “help employers in Connecticut with working capital credit so they can stay in the state and keep jobs here,” Gov. Lowell P. Weicker Jr. said in a statement.
