Former Corona del Mar volleyball Coach Charlie Brande has taken an assistant coaching position with the Orange Coast College men’s team, but he has applied for several other positions, including the vacant women’s job at Arizona.

Brande, who is assisting OCC Coach Bob Wetzel, said he also plans to apply for the vacant girls’ job at El Toro and the women’s job at OCC.

“I’ve been helping out on a temporary basis (at OCC),” Brande said. “I enjoy it here, and it still allows me to work with the club team.

“I also plan to talk to El Toro and with OCC about the women’s job, and the Arizona position would be great because both (wife) Pam and I could coach.”
