U.S. to Sell 52-Week Bills: The Treasury plans to sell a record $13.75 billion in 52-week bills next Thursday to raise $2.53 billion in cash. The sale amount is up from $12.75 billion at the previous 52-week bill sale Feb. 6. The balance of the proceeds will be used to redeem $11.23 billion in maturing bills. The bills will be dated March 12 and will mature March 11, 1993. Non-competitive tenders for the bills, available in minimum denominations of $10,000, must be received by 12 p.m. EST next Thursday at the Treasury or at Federal Reserve banks or branches. Competitive tenders for the bills, available in minimum denominations of $10,000, must be received by 1 p.m. EST next Thursday at the Treasury or at Federal Reserve banks or branches.
