From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The condition of a 1-week-old infant born without a brain worsened, and her parents vowed to go to the Florida Supreme Court in their battle to end her life and donate her organs. Two Florida courts have rejected a request by Laura Campo and Justin Pearson to have their baby declared brain dead. Theresa Ann Pearson was listed in critical condition at Broward General Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The parents said they plan to appeal to the state Supreme Court even if Theresa is dead. “We’re doing this because it is the right thing to do,” Pearson said. “The law needs to be changed.”
