The head of baseball’s ownership committee said a meeting with the Japanese-led group seeking to purchase the Seattle Mariners probably will be rescheduled within two weeks. Fred Kuhlmann of the St. Louis Cardinals also said he wasn’t sure whether the issue would be ready for presentation to all owners when they gather for their quarterly meetings in New York June 9-11.
