Porno Charges Filed After Photos Are Seized : Investigation: Garden Grove man is arrested. Some of the female models who posed nude are believed to be minors.
A 52-year-old Garden Grove man faces felony pornography charges involving minors after county vice investigators seized thousands of photos of nude females from his home, authorities said. Ted Albert Brown is scheduled for arraignment July 10 in Central Municipal Court in Santa Ana on nine counts, investigators said.
Brown was arrested without incident at his Ivanhoe Street home early Tuesday, said investigator Chuck Daly.
From his home and car restoration business in Stanton, investigators seized lingerie, lists of telephone numbers and camera equipment they believe Brown used to take thousands of color photographs of nude females since 1968. Investigators said they did not yet know how many of the photos were of girls 16 years old or younger, which is a felony.
Daly said investigators have interviewed two 16-year-old Fullerton teen-agers who were photographed recently, and they are seeking other minors shown in the seized photographs.
Daly said Brown offered to pay his models, but investigators said it was unclear how much or how often he paid the women. Investigators said Brown apparently did not touch them.
He was being held Thursday in lieu of $50,000 bail in Orange County Jail in Santa Ana, authorities said.
