SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Swallows Inn Bar Back Up for Sale

Share

The city’s legendary cowboy bar, the Swallows Inn, is back on the trading block after a sales agreement fell apart.

The City Council agreed Tuesday night to refund a $50,000 deposit to Ralph Furra, owner of several other restaurant-bars in Orange County, who had agreed to buy the Swallows.

Tacy Lee, who owns the bar and leases the site from the city, which owns the building, said: “This is very upsetting to me and it’s been a real roller coaster for the employees.” City officials say they are contacting another man who put in a bid for the bar last June.
