National Education Names President

Gary M. Cook has been appointed president of Irvine-based National Education Corp.’s National Education Centers subsidiary. Cook, president and chief executive of CareerCom Corp., will assume the position on Nov. 15. He succeeds Harvey Goldstein, who resigned to pursue other business interests. Cook is a former deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare.
