Stevenson Paces UCI to Water Polo Victory

Mark Stevenson scored three goals and UC Irvine defeated UC Santa Barbara, 12-5, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation water polo match Sunday in Santa Barbara.

It was the 15th victory in 17 matches for the Anteaters (18-8), who are ranked fourth in the nation. No. 7 Santa Barbara is 9-14.

Irvine, which led, 4-0, midway through the first quarter and 8-2 at the half, was never challenged.
