VAN NUYS : Youth Pleads Guilty in Armed Robbery

A Van Nuys teen-ager has pleaded guilty to an armed robbery at Reseda High School in which he and an accomplice took a Rolex watch from an assistant principal and fired one gunshot that slightly injured a student.
Arvon Williams, 17, was charged with robbery and assault with a firearm in the Aug. 24 incident, which occurred just before the end of the school day.
Williams, who is being held without bail, entered a plea Wednesday and will be sentenced Feb. 16 in Van Nuys Municipal Court.
Police say Williams and another man posed as a counselor and a student to get into the office of Assistant Principal Dimitri Vadetsky, then pulled a pistol and robbed him of his watch and wallet. The accomplice is still being sought.
Before the two fled in a car, the accomplice fired one shot at a group of students, Deputy Dist. Atty. Robert P. Imerman said.
The shot missed, but one student was grazed by a chip of concrete sent flying by the bullet, police said.
