TROJAN TERRITORY: Today’s UCLA-USC football game is big news in Orange County, where there are so many USC alumni it’s been called “USC South.” . . . A recent check of graduates by a local alumni club yielded 10,000 address labels in the Newport Beach-Costa Mesa area alone, says club president Don Ferren. . . . But he says the really big game is next week against Notre Dame, who has beaten the Trojans nine straight.
